I need to collect a sample of my son's urine for heavy metals testing. Problem is, he is not even remotely toilet trained - he doesn't even indicate when he has to go. Does anyone have any suggestions for how to collect a sample short of wringing out his diaper?

Re: Sample collection?
Mon, July 30, 2007 - 4:00 PMYou're probably going to have to just stand in front of him holding a cup under his penis and hoping for the best... Tricky stuff those samples. How old is he?
Can I also ask you about the testing for heavy metals? I've heard of this before and I'm interested in getting more information on it...

Re: Sample collection?
Mon, July 30, 2007 - 5:53 PMHe'll be three in September. I don't know all the science behind using urine to test for heavy metals, but the test was ordered by Dr. Miriam Jang, who is a strong DAN! advocate. You can visit her website (I googled Dr. Miriam Jang to find it) and she is very good about answering her email. Good luck and thanks for the idea!
